Join in the fun during Chincoteague Island’s annual Death by Chocolate event on February 17th and 18th, 2023. This will be the 17th year of this beloved tradition, which is a favorite among locals and visitors alike!

Keep an eye out for chocolate themed specials in our local businesses, like the tea and chocolate pairing that will be hosted Saturday afternoon in the Channel Bass Inn.

This event is hosted by the Historic Main Street Merchants Association of Chincoteague Island, it’s free, and the perfect way to spend Valentines Weekend with that special someone or a group of friends!

Here’s how to play:
Players can start at any of the participating businesses throughout the Island to pick up their playing card and continue the hunt until they cross the finish line to be entered into over 30 prize drawings! Playing cards will also be available in advance on the Main Street Merchants Facebook page with the final list of participating businesses.

The Prize Drawings will be held at 5pm on Saturday, February 18th.  No purchase or registration necessary to play!
