About

Makemie Memorial Park is the burial place of Rev. Francis Makemie, the chief founder of organized Presbytery in America. The picturesque park is located on Holdens Creek near Sanford, VA. The historical park is kid and pet friendly with a shaded picnic area. There is a statue of Francis Makemie as well as an archeology site where Makemie's home once stood.
