Harriet Tubman & Frederick Douglas - 04/27/2024

Area: Middle Shore

About

Historical interpreters, Nathan M. Richardson and Charmine Crowell-White will be engaged in a joint discussion of the life story of Frederick Douglass and Harriet Tubman. These presentations will provide a learning experience of literature concerned with human culture, history, and philosophy. This project is a new initiative, yet will be a building block in the understanding and highlighting of the accomplishments of African Americans on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.
All presentations are free to the public. The series of presentations is being provided by the Center for Community & Family Development and is funded in part by a grant from the Virginia Humanities George A. and Frances Bibbins Latimer Fund and other community partners. For more information contact Brenda Holden, centercfd@gmail.com.
