FAQ
Where do we get tickets?
You can buy tickets at Hollyhocks on Main and Sundial Books now through the day of the Tour. Both will be open at 10 am on Saturday, December 7th so you can buy tickets before the Tour starts at 11 am.2.
Where do I get the brochure?
The brochures will be available at 10 am the morning of the Tour at The Annex next door to the Island Movie Theatre. Present your ticket to pick up the brochure. The Homes for the Holidays Tour runs from 11 am to 4 pm.3.
What is the weather forecast for the day of the Tour?
It is going usually dry and cold. Dress in layers since you will be popping in and out of your car into the various Tour stops.
Is it a self guided tour and do I walk or drive?
Yes, it is self guided and while some of the tour stops are located either on Main Street or close by, you will want to drive.
Note: there are public restrooms at The Annex and next to the Island Movie Theatre.
Is there a map and how do we know where to go?
There isn’t a map but the brochure lists all of the Places on the Tour. The address for each location is given along with where to park. Each Place on the Tour has a numbered sign out front that will correspond to their number in the brochure.
Where can we eat or get refreshments? There will be coffee, tea and water at The Annex all day. Drift by AJ’s will deliver pre-ordered lunches to the Annex at 10:30 am and the Island Community House will have clam chowder and the fixins’ for $10 during the Tour.
Will we have time to do some shopping? Yes! There are plenty of places on the Tour to do some Christmas shopping. From The Annex and local shops, homes and studios owned by artists to pop-ups with unique handcrafted items plus the Museum of Chincoteague gift shop.
