Chincoteague Refuge includes more than 14,000 acres of beach, dunes, marsh, and maritime forest. The refuge also provides wildlife-dependent recreational opportunities such as fishing, hunting, wildlife photography and observation, interpretation, and environmental education. (US Fish and Wildlife)
