About

Chincoteague Bay Field Station is a residential environmental education center and research station located on Virginia's Eastern Shore. For decades CBFS has taught and inspired thousands of children, college students, and adults about marine science and the coastal ecology of the Mid-Atlantic region. From horseshoe crabs to sharks, our programs educate participants through field-based, hands-on experiences at sites located on the islands of Chincoteague, Assateague, Wallops and beyond!
