Eager to learn about the history, legends and lore of Chincoteague Island? Walk Through Time Tours will be running downtown walking tours seasonally from April-November. Various tours throughout the day and are approx. 1:30 hours in length.
Four distinctly different tours, something for everyone.
9:00am daily tour through the downtown. History, ponies, legends and more. Tours run approx. 1 1/2 hours in length $15 per person, children under 10 are free.
7:00pm daily tour through the downtown. Legends and lore, pirates, shipwrecks, ponies and a few ghosts are thrown in. Tours run approx. 1 1/2 hours in length $15 per person, children under 10 are free. (Some scary tales but still family friendly)
4:00-6:00pm Wednesday and Saturdays Beebe Ranch Tours. We start our tour in the downtown, where we learn about the ponies, and the creation of the book, Misty of Chincoteague, then we hop in our own cars and head to the Beebe Ranch. Meet Billy Beebe and learn first hand about Misty and the Ranch. Pony Penning Week-this tour will run daily $25 per person, children under 10 are free is space is available.
Tuesdays 3:00-5:00 Chincoteague Sampler Tour: Treat yourself to Chincoteague Island Traditional favorites (4 samples), prepared by local restaurants and chefs, while strolling through downtown. Learn about the seafood industry and wet your appetite for your evening meal. Cost is $45 per person
