Assateague Adventures believes in quality over quantity. Which is exactly why we started the only kayak company on Chincoteague that specializes in small group kayak tours (up to 12 people), where we believe guests deserve to feel like family and learn everything about the islands! Having a tour with lower capacity means we are able to build connections with our guests, easily search for wildlife, learn more about the history and ecosystem, and provide the most memorable, personal, and hands on experience we can offer! Being the only kayak company on Chincoteague that feels personal means not only do you get to see more, but also learn more, as our passion at Assateague Adventures is education about our ecosystem and history of Assateague and Chincoteague Island.
What We Do
We focus on the education of wildlife, lore, and history of the island, all while navigating you to the best locations given the tides and winds. We want to make sure you have an Adventure to remember! We recommend you booking if you're looking for an up-close experience with nature and have good physical aptitude! Assateague Island and it's waterways host an abundance of wildlife including ponies, dolphins, a diverse variety of birds, marine species and so much more! Although, we can never guarantee what wildlife we will see, we do our best to actively search for them in the areas they frequent.
