We are full throttle at the Onancock Farmers Market on Saturdays (9am - 12pm). It has been a beautiful change of pace for our family mingling with the community. And over the past month I have (re)connected with good folks; had interesting conversations and laughs; and introduced our specialty and staple vegetables, herbs, and cultural art pieces -- the feedback has been wonderful.
On the farm, cucumbers and tomatoes are climbing the trellis. The pepper beds are hitting their stride. And there's been a whole lot of cleaning beds and harvesting to make room for new transplants. Oh, and there's thyme and mint on the scene now... lovely additions to summer dishes and drinks.
