As we return to Iran, It Was Just an Accident begins as a minor accident that sets in motion a series of escalating consequences. An unassuming mechanic is reminded of his time in an Iranian prison when he encounters a man he suspects is his sadistic jailhouse captor. Panicked, he rounds up a few of his fellow ex-prisoners to confirm the man's identity. It Was Just an Accident offers humor that is black, drama that is deep, and an ending that is unforgettable. This film asks us all a simple and powerful question: what would you do if you found the person responsible for your greatest trauma?
