The Earth Day Festival is an annual community celebration held on Chincoteague Island, Virginia, bringing together local artists, makers, musicians, environmental organizations, and small businesses to celebrate our planet and inspire sustainable living.

Held each April in honor of Earth Day, the festival features live music, local vendors, sustainability workshops, art, family-friendly activities, and educational programming focused on environmental awareness, creativity, and community connection.

The Earth Day Festival is proudly presented by The Island Theatre and Chincoteague Island Arts Organization (CIAO) as a community-driven fundraiser supporting the arts, education, and cultural vitality of Chincoteague Island.

Our goal is to create a welcoming, inclusive event that:
• Supports local artists, musicians, and small businesses
• Promotes environmental stewardship and sustainability
• Encourages education, creativity, and community engagement
• Strengthens partnerships between local nonprofits and the town
