When acclaimed mystery novelist Max Casey becomes lost in the woods after attempting to flee a lethal case of writer’s block, she stumbles across a real-life mystery. Surrounded by the eclectic residents and quirky innkeepers of the Hotel Noir, Max must solve an actual murder while struggling to write her storied heroine a happy ending.
