Festive Fridays are a Cape Charles holiday tradition built to help you escape the corporate holidays! Shop at locally-owned boutiques featuring apparel, home goods, art, jewelry and more! Enjoy freshly prepared foods from gourmet bakery items to fresh seafood, Italian specialties, great pub food, and beyond! Santa and Mrs. Claus will be on hand, shops and restaurants will be open, there is a FREE holiday movie each week, and plenty of family-friendly activities to go around: petting zoo, face painting, caricature art, balloon artists, train rides, and more! All activities are festive and FREE!

10:00 AM – 8:00 PM: The Boardwalk’s one-day-only pre-Christmas sale. This is their only sale during the holidays!
10:00 AM – 8:00 PM: There’s something special for everyone at Buoy 56 this holiday season! Shop their sale — 10% off all jewelry, December 12 only! Enter each Festive Friday for a door prize!
4:00 – 5:30 PM: Santa visits pets too! Stop by 232 Mason Ave to have a photo of your furry friends taken with Santa!
4:30 – 8:00 PM: Blue Heron Realty’s Third Annual Art Show—featuring original works from local artists. Stop by for artwork, ornaments, handmade toys, a raffle, warm cider and holiday treats!
5:00 – 8:00 PM: Holiday-themed children’s crafts and a bake sale at Cape Charles Memorial Library!
5:00 – 8:00 PM: Santa says NO to single-use plastics for a happier, greener holiday! Celebrate the season at Chessie’s, your hometown toy shop filled with holiday magic! Find the perfect gifts for little dreamers—and get a free reusable shopper with every purchase. Our knowledgeable elves are standing by to help you find just the right gift!
5:00 – 8:00 PM: Knitter Katie O’Shea with music by The Stingrays at Lemon Tree Gallery.
5:00 – 11:00 PM: Enjoy $1 off a drink at AJ’s Bar & Grill with your Festive Friday event mug, purchased at the Cape Charles Main Street Beverage Tent.
6:00 PM: Santa Parade with Santa & Mrs. Claus, and a train ride sponsored by Blue Heron Realty. Located on Mason Ave.

7:00 PM: Sunset Jam Band performance at the intersection of Mason Ave. & Strawberry St.
