About
Eastern Shore Community College Foundation Oyster Roast
Now in its 7th year, the Eastern Shore Community College Foundation Oyster Roast returns on Friday, January 30, from 5:30–8:30 p.m. on the campus of Eastern Shore Community College. Proceeds support scholarships and student services that help local students enroll, complete their education, and gain job training.
This late-January favorite blends the Eastern Shore’s oyster roast tradition with a good cause. The event takes place both outdoors under a heated tent and indoors in the Workforce Development Building and Great Hall.
Guests will enjoy locally sourced oysters and clams, steamed and roasted on site, plus homemade clam chowder provided by ESCC alumnus Sylvester Martinez of Eastern Shore Events and Rentals. Wendell Distributing will pour local craft beer, with wine and soft drinks available. Exmore Diner rounds out the menu with BBQ and sides, served by ESCC student ambassadors.
The evening also features a silent auction with items donated by regional businesses and artisans, including wood carvings, golf packages, bourbon and wine baskets, jewelry, handcrafted birdhouses made by ESCC’s Core Construction Trades students, and more.
Live music is a highlight, with the Russell Scarborough Jazz Quartet providing an all-star night of jazz.
Tickets: $75 per person (includes beer, wine, and soft drinks).
Tickets are limited and sold in advance.
