Your Guide to the 4th of July on Virginia’s Eastern Shore

Flags waving, golf carts rolling, and fireworks lighting up the sky! Independence Day on Virginia’s Eastern Shore is packed with tradition and small-town charm. From Chincoteague to Cape Charles, here’s where to celebrate ESVA-style this 4th of July weekend.

Know before you go: Parking will be limited at the carnival grounds. For your safety and enjoyment, you are asked to use The Pony Express trolley service which will be FREE during this event. Trolley stops are located throughout the island with a stop at the back of the carnival grounds. Also, a free shuttle bus from the Chincoteague High School will go directly to the carnival grounds.
