3rd Annual Cape Charles Day – June 12, 2021
On August 16, 2018, the Cape Charles Town Council adopted a resolution designating the first Saturday in March as Cape Charles Day to be celebrated annually with civic activities to commemorate the Town’s incorporation on March 1, 1886. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the Governor’s restrictions, the decision was made to postpone the Cape Charles Day activities until June 12th.
Cape Charles Day will be celebrated from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
9 a.m. to Noon will be Community Clean-up Day, followed by a Picnic in Central Park from Noon to 2:00 PM.
We have contracted again with our vendor, Stericycle/Shred-It, to have a shredding truck located at Central Park from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. If you have any sensitive documents that you need to dispose of in a secure manner, please bring them and have then shredded. Please remove your documents from any type of binder and make sure they don’t contain any binder clips. Paper clips and staples are safe for the shredding machine and do not need to be removed.
At noon, we will heat up the grills to serve hot dogs with fixins for all! There will be live music by 70 South. We hope you will be able to join us!
